Not much, and nothing it does not need. This page says what is collected, why, and who to write to.

Who we are

gomacrae.com is the website of GoMacRae, the trading name of MacRae Ventures LTD, an independent product company in Livingston, Scotland. Questions about anything on this page go to hello@gomacrae.com.

Analytics on the public site

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to see which pages are read and whether anything breaks. It records page views, the country a visit comes from, the browser and device type, and errors the page throws. It sets cookies and browser storage to tell one visit from the next. It does not record what you type, and there is no session recording on the public site.

Private documents

Some pages on this site are proposals written for one client. To read one you give us your email address. That address is used to send you a reading link, to tell the studio who asked, and to record when the document was read and how far. Inside a proposal we may record the session so we can see which parts held attention; text you type into the page is masked. The address is not added to any list and is not shared.

What we keep, and for how long

• Analytics events stay in PostHog for as long as its retention allows, then expire.
• Proposal access records (who asked, who was approved, who read) stay while the proposal is live.
• A reply you send through a proposal page is kept so the studio can act on it.
• Email you send to hello@gomacrae.com is kept like any other correspondence.

Services we use

The site runs on Cloudflare. Email is sent through Resend. Analytics are in PostHog. Each processes data on our behalf and under our instructions.

Your choices

Block cookies or storage in your browser and the analytics stop working; the site still does. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to hello@gomacrae.com and we will answer within a month.
